DJ SANDY SACHS
Sandy
co-founded Girl Bar in 1990 with her partner of 16 years Robin
Gans. Girl Bar is nation’s largest and most well known nightclub
for lesbians in the world. In addition she is co-founder and
co-producer of The Dinah Shore Weekend, the largest vacation
weekend for women in the world. Sandy also happens to be the
owner of the state- of-the-art Factory Nightclub and recently
purchased Fitness Factory, a private gym in West Hollywood where
many of Hollywood’s celebs workout. As if that isn’t enough,
Sandy opened, and continues to be the buyer for, one of Bourbon
Street’s most popular gay and lesbian boutiques, Hit Parade.
Sachs, a native New Yorker, began DJing in the early 80’s. Her
career was short-lived when she realized that she would rather
be on the floor dancing and socializing. Her interest in music
is what drove her into the nightclub business where she started
as a promoter and has continued to work closely with all of the
DJs that work for her. Sandy is suddenly enjoying newfound
interest and success as a lounge music DJ, spinning primarily at
Girl Bar in the front lounge and at special events. Her music
repertoire consists mainly of European Lounge music, Retro 70’s
& 80’s, Funk, Old Skool and Deep House.

DJ ROB KAFTAN
Rob Kaftan started on the dance music scene while producing parties in Chicago during the mid 90's. During that time, Rob learned what it takes to make a great party..."it's all about the music". Inspired by legendary DJs like Junior Vasquez, Victor Calderone and Ralphi Rosario, Rob decided to take the plunge into the DJ world himself.
After relocating to San Francisco in 1999, Rob's flawless mixing and ability to program the perfect set landed him residencies at Metropolis, Mass, Fresh @ Ruby Skye, Mezzanine and Adonis. He has DJ'ed major events such as the White Party Palm Springs, Sundance Weekend in Guerneville, and Mardi Gras in Sydney.
Now based in Los Angeles, Rob holds residencies in both San Francisco and Los Angeles, and continues guest appearances around the world. His repertoire has evolved with music trends from circuit anthems to disco house to pop & crunk... from spinning vinyl to mixing digital music/videos on the fly.
