WNBA franchise teams with lesbian nightclub

The WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks are teaming up with the Los Angeles lesbian bar Girl Bar to actively promote the team to the nightclub’s gay customers. A Sparks pep rally is scheduled at the club Friday night. The event will include an opportunity for team members to meet their fans and sign autographs. "This is a great move for the Sparks," said Girl Bar cofounder Sandy Sachs. "They recognize and are reaching out to the very core of their fan base, and these fans could not be happier."
